Job Title: Brewer

Job Description: Lonerider Brewing Company is currently accepting applications for a full time Brewer.  This candidate should have a strong passion for producing top quality craft beer. This position requires working independently as well with other employees. Working evenings and weekends is occasionally necessary. A strong knowledge of the brewing process is absolutely required and applicants with previous experience are preferred.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to.

  • Work with other brewers in all aspects of the brewing process (wort production, cellaring, handling of raw materials, yeast management, record keeping and cleaning).
  • Follow standard operating procedures for all duties pertaining to the job description.
  • Work independently on scheduled brewing shifts.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Ability to assist other co workers as needed.
  • Brewery representation (brewery tours, beer dinners, misc. events).

Requirements

  • Able to lift 55lbs and walk short distance with weight suspended overhead.
  • Able to work nights and weekends.
  • Knowledge of the brewing process.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to work in a brewery environment (tight quarters, cold winters and hot summers, kneeling, climbing ladders etc).
  • 2+ years experience in a production brewery is preferred.
  • Strong will to learn and become an expert in their role with the brewery.
  • Valid drivers license.

Job Title: Cellar Technician/Assistant Brewer

Job Description: Lonerider Brewing Company is currently accepting applications for a full time Cellar Technician/Assistant Brewer..  This candidate should have a strong passion for producing top quality craft beer. This position requires working independently as well with other employees. Working evenings and weekends is occasionally necessary. A strong knowledge of the brewing process is absolutely required and applicants with previous experience are preferred.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to.

  • Communicate with the brewing and packaging teams to ensure everyone is up to date on brewery operations.
  • Centrifuging and carbonating beer.
  • Fermentor and Bright Tank CIP
  • Testing beer fermentation and daily documentation.
  • Signing off on finished beer
  • Follow standard operating procedures for all duties pertaining to the job description.
  • Work independently on occasional brewing shifts.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Ability to assist other co workers as needed.
  • Brewery representation (brewery tours, beer dinners, misc. events).

Job Title: Packaging Team Lead

Lonerider Brewing Company in Raleigh, NC has an immediate opening for a full time Packaging Team Lead position. We are a dedicated team who love our job. We’re looking for a fun, hard working person with an unyielding dedication to quality to join our team and we will accept nothing less! Our production will exceed 18,000 BBLs in 2017, and more growth is coming our way. This is an excellent opportunity to join a brewery with a bright future and long-term goals along with working and living in the North Carolina Triangle area.

Previous experience in a packaging environment is preferred and preference will be given to individuals with experience directly related to brewery packaging operations. This position is responsible for assistance in team leadership, guidance, and support in performing primary packaging functions, from set-up to clean-up, and general duties in the production brewery. This individual will report to the Brewery Manager and will lead all packaging related activities.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Complete operation of Palmer can filler (CIP, materials prep, continuous operation, regular maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and daily clean-up).
  • Operation of all peripheral packaging machines, troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, and cleaning.
  • Provide knowledgable guidance and training to packaging personnel in all daily operations.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and calm logical approach to daily tasks and unexpected challenges.
  • Upkeep, organization & cleanliness of brewery.
  • Display a working knowledge of mechanical and automated equipment with capability to troubleshoot and effectively address issues.
  • Adherence to Lonerider Brewing safety protocols while promoting a culture of safety awareness
  • Ability to perform packaging related QA tasks including seam checks and gas checks (Hamilton Beverly) whilst understanding their relation to potential hazards in product quality.
  • Maintain records and inventories associated with packaged products, reporting re- order points in a timely manner.
  • Display awareness for all brewery operations with consideration to priorities in a production environment.

Qualified Candidates will possess the following:

  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • outgoing personality
  • ability to work all shifts, additional hours & weekends as required
  • ability to multi-task with attention to detail
  • working to high quality standards with and without direct supervision
  • ability to understand and follow SOPs
  • ability to lift 50-75 lbs to shoulder height repeatedly
  • ability to stand on your feet for an 8 hour shift
  • ability to maneuver beer kegs (165 lbs)

Position is full-time and wages will commensurate with skills and experience.
